Boomplay has released their list of top artists for the year 2021 with Olamide and Teni leading the charge in the male and female categories

The Nigerian music star Olamide was the most streamed male artiste for the period in review; he also had the second most-streamed song behind Omah Lay’s hit single Godly whilst followed by Joeboy’s Sip (Alcohol) which arguably happened to have the most viral challenge in 2021.

Olamide and Teni are the top artists on the Boomplay app for the year 2021 in a new list released by the streaming giants recently. This was shared via Instagram on Tuesday, the 7th of December 2021.

Boomplay’s list of best artists of 2021 is a result of the total streaming numbers on the app for the duration of this year. Olamide and Teni will have benefited immensely from the release of new albums this year. The YBNL boss released his UY Scuti album while Teni came through this year with her debut album titled Wonderland.

Teni and Olamide have now been announced as the biggest artists of the year 2021 in the new list by Boomplay. Olamide topped the list on the make category followed closely by Omah Lay while Burna Boy rounded up the top 3 even without the release of a new project.
