We all have to admit our parents failed woefully in rasing the male child – Djinee reacts to the rape and murder of Uwa Omozuwa

Nigerian urban singer with a captivating tenor vocal range and a unique soft rock edge, Djinee has said parents need to do better in raising their sons after 22-year-old UNIBEN student, Uwa Omozuwa, was brutalized, raped, and murdered while reading inside a church.
Uwa’s assault in Benin has been condemned by Nigerians all over the country. With the hashtag, #JusticeForUwa, Nigerians are calling for Uwa’s attackers, who are still walking free, to be found and prosecuted.
Reacting to Uwa’s death, Ego singer, Djinee wrote: “Uwa’s story breaks me. We all have to admit that our parents have failed woefully in the raising of the male child. Concentrating too much on the conduct of the female child when it’s actually the males who have the higher propensity to do evil! #JusticeForUwa.”
