Bobrisky shows his support for Davido following his loss at the Grammy awards

Written by on February 5, 2024

Expressing his longstanding admiration for Davido, Bobrisky recently conveyed his sentiments through a message. This gesture came in the wake of Davido’s three-time loss at the Grammys.

In his message, Bobrisky wrote,

‘I’m super proud you David. I’m ur biggest fan I’m sure ur lawyer Prince tell you dis always, You are too big to fail naaaa. You don pass that level. You are a world star and nothing beat that. Grammy or no Grammy we love ur music and we won’t stop listening to it’.

Bobrisky's solidarity message for Davido following his loss at the Grammys.

Reflecting on the past, Davido found himself in the Grammys limelight, contending in three categories—Best Global Music award for “Feel,” Best African Music Performance for “Unavailable,” and Best Global Music Album for “Timeless.” Regrettably, the Grammys Awards night saw him miss out on all three prestigious accolades.

The Grammys 2024 signified a monumental chapter in Davido’s journey, marking his inaugural invitation and nomination. This event held profound significance, not only for the artist but also for his ardent fan base. Despite the Grammys setback, the repercussions were felt keenly by fans and even his Lawyer, who, optimistically, had shared a mock Grammys awards post in anticipation of Davido’s triumph.

Davido’s elation over the Grammy nomination was palpable, especially considering these were his maiden nominations. His fans resonated with this excitement, recognizing the milestone attained in Davido’s career notwithstanding the Grammys 2024 outcome.

Noteworthy, Davido wasn’t the sole Nigerian artist grappling with disappointment at the Grammys. Ayra Starr and Asake also found themselves on the losing end. Burnaboy, a heavyweight in the industry, wasn’t spared either, facing defeat in four award categories. In essence, the stark reality emerged that no Nigerian artist secured a coveted Grammy award in the year 2024.
