Despite numerous wins and recognition, superstar singer Davido began to reconsider his career path. The son of billionaire Adedeji Adeleke lamented over his career choice, expressing regret for opting for the wrong profession. This realization struck him upon acknowledging the wealth enjoyed by football stars like Mbappe, Messi, and Ronaldo. Davido openly expressed his remorse, acknowledging that footballers lead a life of luxury.

“He tweeted; “Footballers Dey enjoy ooooo … be like I chose wrong profession. bruhhhhhhh.”

A day ago, Nigerians began to question Davido’s recent statement in which he disclosed that he had never received a gift from anyone. This skepticism arose following a generous gesture from Atletico Madrid star Memphis, who presented Davido with a Rolex during his 30th birthday celebration.

In a video circulating on social media, Davido enthusiastically embraced Memphis, proclaiming loudly that he had never been on the receiving end of gifts and that he was always the one to bestow them.

However, netizens found this assertion somewhat perplexing, citing numerous instances where Davido had publicly received gifts from fellow Nigerians. One individual even reminded him of the monetary donations he had received on his birthday.

Despite any lingering doubts or regrets Davido may have about his career choice, his numerous groundbreaking achievements in the music industry remain undeniable.

The singer received his first-ever Grammy Awards nomination in 2023. Although he ultimately did not win the Grammy, Davido still has plenty of reasons to be grateful, particularly for the recognition.

In October, Davido was honored by both Atlanta and Georgia with dedicated days in his honor. Atlanta officially declared November 18th, 2023, as “Davido’s Day,” while Fulton County, Georgia, designated November 21st, 2023, as “Davido Appreciation Day.”

Additionally, he was recognized as an “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” by the Georgia State Assembly.

Most recently, the singer added another accolade to his impressive list of achievements with his feature on fellow artist Kizz Daniel’s song, the Twe Twe remix.

Unsurprisingly, the song has been making waves and setting records, becoming the fastest Afrobeats song to surpass 100,000 Shazams in just seven days.
