Mr Ibu’s son and brother allegedly engage in messy fight over his properties

According to online reports, there was a reported clash between Mr Ibu’s son and his brother over their father’s properties.

Blogger Tosin Silverdam claimed that they engaged in a physical altercation on Wednesday, resulting in injuries to one of the sons. The altercation reportedly occurred at Mr. Ibu’s house concerning his property, leading to bruises and bleeding on both sides.

This situation isn’t surprising. It’s worth recalling that while the actor was battling for his life, his family was already entangled in disputes over his donation money. Reports suggested that his wife, Stella, sought to control the donation funds to support her extravagant lifestyle, allegedly withdrawing N1 million from the donations using her account.

Stella Maris, speaking out, accused Jasmine of attempting to alienate her from her marriage. However, Mr. Ibu’s son, Daniel, countered her claims, stating that he managed his father’s accounts.

As a result of these conflicts, Stella ordered their arrest, but they were later released and cleared of all charges.

Earlier this year, Jasmine and Mr Ibu’s son faced police rearrest and awaited court charges. Jasmine dismissed these reports by sharing a video of herself with actor Deyemi Okanlawon.

Two weeks later, the Nigerian police confirmed re-arresting her son, Daniel Onyeabuchi, on allegations of defrauding the actor of N55 million.

The investigation uncovered WhatsApp messages between Jasmine and Daniel, detailing their criminal conspiracy. It was revealed that they had a sham marriage at the Ikoyi Magistrate Registry with plans to flee to the UK with their ill-gotten gains.

Mr Ibu passed away two weeks ago after battling illness for months. Emeka Rollas, president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, confirmed his death, citing Cardiac Arrest as the cause.

Last week, Mr Ibu’s wife and family were seen for the first time as his body was taken from the morgue at Evercare Hospital.

Reports indicated that the actor’s body was transported to his hometown for burial. His sons, Valantine Okafor and Daniel Okafor, were present, along with other family members who were seen consoling his wife, Stella Maris.
