Superstar Davido recently found himself at the intersection of humor and controversy when responding to a widely circulated video featuring a British TikToker arrested for drug smuggling. This TikToker garnered significant attention after being apprehended while attempting to board a flight with a substantial amount of cocaine. This incident left him appearing utterly shocked and bewildered.
Following his arrest, the British TikToker received a stern verdict, resulting in over six years of imprisonment for his involvement in the cocaine smuggling attempt into the UK. Davido, renowned for his vibrant online presence, couldn’t resist the urge to inject some humor into this situation.
In response to the TikToker’s bewilderment during his arrest, Davido amusingly commented on the captured TikToker’s seemingly inability to comprehend his arrest. This, in turn, prompted Davido to reflect on his own school days when parents would come to collect their children’s report cards. In such instances, parents would feign surprise, despite being aware that their children hadn’t studied.
However, this lighthearted perspective comes in the wake of Davido’s recent tweets that hint at a more serious intent. In one tweet, he proclaimed that nobody should plead with him, insinuating his readiness to address those who accused him of financial debts. Subsequently, he followed up with another tweet that appeared to challenge those aspiring to attain fame.
This sequence of events follows a recent accusation by Abu Salam, who claimed that Davido owed him a substantial sum of 212 million Naira. Despite Abu Salam’s persistent efforts, he couldn’t recover the money, sparking a public dispute.
Amidst this controversy, Blessing Okoro also stepped forward with allegations that Davido owed a businessman named IVD 4.5 million Naira. Allegedly, this amount was the outstanding payment for a car purchased for Israel, one of Davido’s aides.
However, IVD promptly refuted the claim, asserting that there was no outstanding debt.
In response to IVD’s denial, Blessing Okoro decided to substantiate her allegations with evidence. She released a video, purportedly showing IVD recording a voice note in which he indicated that Davido owed him money.
