Deyemi Okanlawon makes a passionate appeal to Funke Akindele

Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon publicly appealed to Box Office Queen Funke Akindele. He took to his Instagram page, writing a heartfelt message to her.
He mentioned their ongoing beef but reminded her of the times he supported her when no one else did. Addressing her as his darling Lefty, Deyemi requested her to encourage her fans to watch his new movie.

I know say we fight las las but remember I was there for you when nobody else was there. Abeg help me tell your #1B geng fans to go and watch my dear brother Deyemi’s film.

Deyemi finally unveiled the reason behind his characters’ frequent demise in movies. Throughout his career, he starred in numerous blockbuster films where his character met an untimely end, leading many to assume he was typecast.
Setting the record straight, he attributed this to budget constraints rather than intentional casting decisions. Months ago, Deyemi sought answers from his fans regarding Chioma Akpotha’s reference to him among men to avoid.
The actor shared a clip where Akpotha mentioned his name, sparking his curiosity about the reason behind it. Recently, Deyemi reminisced about his early career days while paying tribute to veteran actor Kunle Bantefa.
He took to Instagram, sharing a photo with Bantefa and recalling his debut in the film industry at the age of 8 or 9. His first experience on set was for a family commercial, with Sola Sobowale playing his mother and his brother, Detola Okanlawon, playing his sibling, albeit his tears led to a bit of embarrassment as he struggled with his lines.
